Happy Earth Day!
The day we have all been waiting for has finally arrived! Earth Day (not to mention Allen Borza’s birthday) is finally upon us. Today, the Green Group Studio team will rip ourselves away from our computers and spend some time with the exotic animals at McCarthy’s Wildlife Sanctuary in West Palm Beach. Lions, and tigers, and… alligators? Oh my!
Amazingly, this incredible non-profit organization provides a loving home to over 170 permanent resident animals as well as rehabilitation services to countless animals that are then released back into the wild. McCarthy’s Wildlife Sanctuary is funded entirely by donations and the ticket sales to their educational tours. All donations and ticket sales are tax deductable donations. Donations can be made in many forms including: monetary, wish list items and volunteering your time and services to the care of the animals and maintenance of the sanctuary.
All funds raised for McCarthy’s Wildlife Sanctuary go to the expanding of enclosures, blinds for the owls, and better enrichment for the big cats. They provide food and vet care as needed for the animals that come in. The Sanctuary will also receive a $100,000 matching grant if they can raise $100,000 by October 2014.
